Baliuags car market gets more alive
The grand opening of Honda Cars Baliuag led by (from left) ANC+ Group president Dr. Mike Tan, Honda Cars Philippines president and GM Noriyuki Takakura, Baliuag Mayor Ferdie Estrella, and ANC+ Group chairman Anthony Cheng.

Local auto industry tycoon, Anthony Cheng expanded his multi-brand enterprise with the opening of Honda Cars Baliuag (HCBG), which is located at Doña Remedios Trinidad Highway, Brgy. Sabang, Baliuag, Bulacan.

“Our dream of being able to serve Honda customers in Bulacan has finally become a reality. This is the result of all of our hard work and commitment, born out of the strong relationship we have with Honda Cars Philippinesmost of all our passion for the brand,” were part of the remarks of Anthony, the dearly loved president of ANC+ Group of Companies during the blessing and inauguration of its newest dealership in Central Luzon.

The Japanese-inspired theme of Honda Cars Baliuag

Baliuag, one of the rapidly developing municipalities of the province of Bulacan is under the dynamic stewardship of Mayor Ferdie Estrella. It can indeed be considered as an astute choice to open an automobile dealership, especially of the HCBG kind, which can be considered, as far from being ordinary. It is highly celebrated for its elegant and sophisticated architecture.

“Our dealership is centered with a Japanese-inspired customer lounge, a coffee bar, and a Zen garden. Overlooking the gazebo is a koi fishpond, a symbol of balance and harmony. Matsu (pine trees), or trees of resilience and longevity, complements the Zen theme,” was how Dr. Mike Tan, the remarkable dealership’s friendly president proudly describes HCBG.

The auspicious event was well-attended with a significant media presence despite the usual Friday traffic and long drive deep into Bulacan what with the “hard to say no to” invitation coming from ANC+ Group of Companies’ Managing Director, auto industry veteran, Minnie Valencia-Bustamante.

Here’s a toast to Anthony and Mike for an exceptionally designed dealership.

2018 STV-ARCC Winners

The 2018 STV Auto Rally Corporate Challenge powered by Phoenix Fuels with Pulse Technology in cooperation with NLEX Corporation and Ayala Harbor Point Mall, which for the first time ran from Clark to Subic and back registered remarkable “on time all the time” rally feats by its 10 participating teams composed of Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Lexus, Mazda, MINI, SsangYong and Volkswagen.

In a rousing awarding ceremonies held at Valle Verde Country Club, the crowned Corporate Champion was the MINI Rally Team, with 2nd Place taken by the Honda Rally Team and on 3rd Place was the Isuzu Rally Team.

For the individual team honors, MINI Rally Car #30 with Stuart Samson, Alex Angeles and Sandra Samson — all first-timers — took the Individual Team Championship Trophy.

Coming in 2nd Place was Isuzu Rally Car #5 with Steve Acayan, Raul Asuncion and Leo Jaime.

The 3rd Place was taken by MINI Rally Car #8 with Mike Potenciano, Henry Buenconsejo and Rafael Dizon.

Three perfect times (zero demerit) were registered by MINI Rally Car #8 with Potenciano/Buenconcejo/Dizon but not enough to claim the top Individual Award but contributed a lot to the team’s Corporate Championship together with the perfect time of MINI Rally Car #30 with Samson/Angeles/Samson. Another perfect time was registered by Honda Rally Car #25 with Nics Calanoc, Kim Benito and Al Bato.

Aside from the rally awards, executives of the event’s Presenting Sponsor and Official Fuel, Phoenix Petroleum GM for retail Eric Inocencio and avp for marketing and brand management Celina Matias, handed out Fuel Performance Certificates to participating vehicles while on ‘rally mode,’ with some rally cars registering remarkable fuel consumption figures.

Worthy of mention was the presence during the awards night of auto industry execs, Raymond Rodriguez, president of Lexus Manila and Steven Tan, president and CEO of Mazda Philippines, an encouraging “win or lose” gesture of support for their rally team members. Way to go, guys!
