MANILA, Philippines — Nakapagtala ang OCTA Research Group ng 7 porsyentong pagtaas sa mga bagong kaso ng COVID-19 sa Metro Manila makaraan ang mga nakalipas na paalala na maaaring magkaroon ng panibagong surge sa bansa na idudulot ng mga sub-variants ng Omicron.

Sa kanyang Twitter post, sinabi ni OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David na nakapagtala ng ­average na 85 na kaso nitong nakalipas na linggo na mas mataas sa 79 average ng sinundang linggo.

“The NCR had a one week growth rate of 7% as the 7-day average in new Covid-19 cases increased from 79 (as of April 17 to 23) to 85 (as of April 24 to 30),” tweet pa ni David.

Samantala, ang reproduction number sa NCR ay tumaas din sa 0.79 mula sa dating 0.66 sa kahalintulad na panahon.

Ang healthcare utilization para sa CO­VID-19 naman ay nananatili aniyang nasa very low sa 21% habang ang intensive care unit utilization ay nasa 19% naman.

“The positivity rate in the NCR remained at 1.4% over an average of 11,544 tests per day,” dagdag niya.

Paglilinaw naman ni David, nananatili pa ring nasa low risk sa COVID-19 ang NCR hanggang noong Abril 30, 2022.
