MANILA, Philippines — Muling tatanggap ang Quezon City government ng online booking para sa pagbabakuna sa mga minor na may edad 12 hanggang 17 na may comorbidities.

Ito ay makaraang apru­bahan ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) ang request ng lokal na pamahalaan na mabakunahan na ang mga kabataan para maprotek­syunan laban sa virus.

“We have seen in the past months how the virus has been affecting our kids as well. It’s high time that we expand the vaccination program to them. We, in the local government, would like to assure everyone that the inoculation process for the children will be as smooth, if not better, as the ones we had for the adults,” pahayag ni QC Mayor Joy Belmonte.

Ang kick-off acti­vity ay isinagawa kahapon sa Quezon City General Hospital na pinangunahan ni Mayor Belmonte,  DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya at mga representatives mula sa Department of Health (DOH).

Ayon kay Dr. Maria Lourdes Eleria ng QC Task Force Vax to Normal, Pfizer at Moderna ay gagamiting vaccine sa mga kabataan na siyang naaprubahan ng Food and Drugs Autho­rity (FDA) para sa mga menor-de-edad.

Ang mga magulang at guardian ng naturang mga kabataan na nais magpabakuna ay maaa­ring magparehistro sa QC VaxEasy website: www.qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/qcvaxeasy, o sa kani-kanilang mga barangay.
