P7.5 milyong shabu nasabat sa NAIA
MANILA, Philippines — Nasamsam ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs - Port of NAIA ang nasa 1.1 kilo ng shabu na may street value na ?7,527,600 na itinago sa dalawang air parcels sa Fedex warehouse.
Ito’y matapos na magsagawa ang Customs ng 100% physical examination matapos dumating galing Malaysia ang epektos na nakitang isiniksik sa sapatos at junk food nang idaan ito sa x-ray scanning machine.
“The seized illegal drugs are now under the custody of PDEA for case profiling and build up against persons responsible, and possible prosecution for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002 (Republic Act No. 9165) in relation to Section 119 (Restricted Importation) and Section 1401 (Unlawful Importation) of Republic Act No. 10863 otherwise known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA)”, ayon kay Port of NAIA District Customs Collector Mimel Talusan
Sinabi ni Talusan, na ang Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA ay patuloy na sinusuportahan ang mga direktiba ni Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero na paigtingin ang border protection para mahinto na ang smuggling activities ng mga international drug traffickers sa bansa.
