MANILA, Philippines – A son of a former barangay chairman in Pasig City and two others were arrested during a drug sting on Wednesday.

Artemio Victorino Jr., 35, was nabbed along with Arnold Bole, 35, and Vergel Valiente, 33, in Barangay Bagong Ilog.

Brig. Gen. Johnson Almazan, director of the Eastern Police District (EPD), said Victorino is the son of Artemio Victorino Sr., former chairman of Barangay Bagong Ilog.

The suspects allegedly yielded seven sachets of shabu and P300 in marked money.

Lt. Col. Reggie Lacsamana, head of the EPD drug enforcement unit, said they hatched a sting against the younger Victorino amid information that he was allegedly responsible for the proliferation of shabu in the area.

Victorino was apprehended after he allegedly handed over a sachet of shabu to a policeman who posed as a buyer.

Police said Bole and Valiente were nabbed after they were caught allegedly engaged in a shabu session.
