2 Chinese arrested in sex ring bust
MANILA, Philippines – Two Chinese women were arrested and six Vietnamese women were rescued during a raid on an alleged sex den at a condominium in Makati City on Wednesday.
Kuang Meiting and Li Xuemei are said to be behind the trafficking of women at the condominium on Malugay street in Barangay San Antonio, officials said yesterday.
The rescued women all carried tourist visas, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said.
“The influx of foreigners in the country should be thoroughly checked, especially women, as some of them were brought here to be sex slaves,” Eleazar said in an interview.
Lt. Col. Rogarth Campo of the NCRPO’s Regional Special Operations Unit (RSOU) said they conducted a month-long surveillance of the condominium following a tip regarding the sex trafficking of Chinese, Vietnamese and Malaysian women.

He said the suspects use an internet app to attract prospective clients.
Campo said the condominium unit used by the suspects has a “show-up room” where clients may choose their partner, with whom they could have sex in the unit’s three rooms or somewhere else.
The suspects were brought to the RSOU office at Camp Bagong Diwa for proper documentation and disposition. They face charges of human trafficking.
The rescued women would be turned over to the Makati social welfare office, Eleazar said. The NCRPO will coordinate with the Vietnamese embassy to return the women to their country, he added.
