Risa Hontiveros speaks about women empowerment

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Risa Hontiveros talked about the importance of women empowerment and standing up against gender-based harassment at the Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) last Mar. 8. Hontiveros urged students and members of the academe to exert more effort in order to ensure that “young men are taught to be better versions of themselves.” The seminar entitled, “Palag: A Talk on the Elimination of Violence against Women and Women Empowerment,” was a project of Lakambini, under Sandigan, ASHS’ culture-building arm.
