3 hurt in Pasig fire

MANILA, Philippines — Three persons were injured when a fire hit a warehouse and residential area in Pasig City on Tuesday night.

The blaze destroyed at least 40 houses along Jenny’s Avenue in Barangay Rosario, Superintendent Reynaldo Lorenzo, chief of the Bureau of Fire Protection District IV, said.

The identities of the victims were not immediately available.

Arson probers said the fire reached the fifth alarm, prompting firefighters from nearby cities to respond.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
