Gadget shop robbed in Valenzuela

Janvic Mateo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A total of 87 cell phones, laptops, and cameras were stolen from a gadget shop in Valenzuela City at past noon Thursday.

The gadgets, worth almost P140,000, were stolen from Reymalin Pawnshop and Phone shop in Gen. T. De Leon by four unidentified armed men, said Inspector Rodrigo Albayalde of the Valenzuela City police.

The robbers also took P20,000 cash, Albayalde said.

He said initial investigation of the incident showed that the robbers barged into the shop and, at gunpoint, forced store manager John Carlo Cristobal to put the gadgets into two bags.

The robbers locked him up in the shop before they fled, Albayalde said.
