Flor Z. Perolina - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines -  A 19-year-old student in one of the universities  in Cebu City is now facing an act of lasciviousness case after he allegedly seduced and brought a 13-year-old girl in a lodge in Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City last Saturday.

PO1 Juliet Trogo of the Centro Police Station in Mandaue City said in an interview that the  suspect  was a first year college student while the victim a 13-year-old student.

The victim was then accompanied by his 52-year-old guardian to the police to lodge a complaint against the suspect.

Trogo said that both the victim and the suspect are residents of Barangay Casuntingan. The two were reportedly acquaintances who regularly play internet games inside an internet café.

Trogo said that last Saturday evening, the suspect allegedly invited the victim to attend a fiesta in Barangay Paknaan, adding that the victim went along with the suspect's request.

The victim said that she was then invited to have a drinking session with a certain William.

She further alleged that she got drunk later on, but instead of bringing her home, the suspect allegedly brought her to a lodge.

The victim then told the police that she had no idea what the suspect had done but said she noticed a "kiss mark" on her neck.

Trogo said that after the investigation, they then endorsed the victim to the Pink Room of Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City to determine if the victim was sexually abused. The result was negative, Trogo added.

An act of lasciviousness case in relation to R.A 7610 was already filed against the suspect yesterday afternoon before the City Prosecutors Office.  (FREEMAN)
