MANILA, Philippines - Awards season officially kicked off with the recent conclusion of the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards — and in no short order, the usual showcase of Hollywood’s finest (in couture gowns and designer jewelry, par for the course) paraded and twirled down the red carpet.

For this year’s edition, there was a palpable departure from all things minimal and staid. Did Ruth Negga’s sci-fi-inspired turn in a fully sequined T-shirt gown, custom made by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton, set the mood? Or was it Lily Collins in a full princess couture frock by Zuhair Murad? Or was it Zoe Saldana in a tone-on-tone confection by Gucci; a ruffled number, bisected and cinched by a satin bow? Fantasy was on the menu and the mood was indulgent luxury for a host of different celebrities. 

What truly set Zoe apart were her delicious jewelry choices, elevating her look to even more luxurious heights — all by Italian jewelry and horology brand, Bulgari:  a pink-gold pair of drop earrings, encrusted with pavé diamonds and colored rubellites and emeralds; a stack of Serpenti rings in rose gold, cuffed-off with a choice Serpenti Incantati watch. Effortlessly luxurious and consummately ornate, Bulgari set the haute couture fantasy-quotient high for the hotly anticipated event.

Bulgari also celebrates the Golden Globe Awards with Best Actor nominee Colin Farrell, Best Supporting Actor nominee Jeff Bridges, Justin Hartley of nominated TV series This is Us, Laura Dern and the daughters of Sylvester Stallone — Sistine, Scarlet and Sophia (the three, this year’s “Miss Golden Globe”) — all walking the red carpet in a full Serpenti set.
