Lake Sebu’s Seven Falls seen by zipline

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Lake Sebu 7 Falls Zipline is perhaps the best zipline experience you will ever have in the Philippines.

One of the main attractions at Lake Sebu is Seven Falls located at Barangay Lake Seloton, one of Philippines’ most beautiful waterfalls.

Dare to ride the extreme eco-adventure that is the Seven Falls Zipline at 180 meters (600 ft) high, with 740 meters (40 seconds travel) as its first leg and 420 meters (20 seconds travel) as its second leg.

One will experience the spectacular view of four of the seven falls, snaking river system and lush forest while zipping along in midair.

Named Hikong Alo in T’boli, the first of the seven falls stands at 35 ft. Standing at 70 ft, Falls 2 or Hikong Bente is located 40 meters from Falls 1 and can be reached by hiking more than 700 steps, driving or by means of the zipline.

Other falls can be reached by a rigorous mountain hike, depending on weather conditions and status of the trail paths. For now, Falls 1 and 2 are the only falls that can be easily reached.

The other falls are Hikong B’lebel “zigzag” as the third falls, followed by Hikong Lowig “booth,” Hikong Ukol “Wild Flower”, Hikong K’Fo-I “short,” and the seventh falls is Hikong Tonok “Soil.”

Lake Sebu is located in the province of South Cotabato. Lake Sebu was relaunched at this year’s 26th Philippine Travel Mart as a banner tourism destination, highlighting its rich culture and traditions.

Last year, Department of Tourism Region 12 recorded 2.8 million tourist arrivals and South Cotabato was the third biggest contributor to this.
