MasterCard cardholders now have a chance to visit these exciting destinations and more as Philippine Airlines (PAL) and MasterCard recently joined hands to launch the “Soaring Higher and Barkada Flights” promotions, which offer MasterCard cardholders chances to win Mabuhay Miles and free roundtrip tickets to any of PAL’s local, regional and international destinations.

“At MasterCard, we enable our cardholders to experience priceless moments through traveling to some of the most popular destinations,” adds MasterCard vice president and senior country manager Poch Villa-Real.

In the Soaring Higher promotion, four lucky cardholders will win 180,000 Mabuhay Miles and another four more will have a chance to win 80,000 Mabuhay Miles, while 10 cardholders get to win 18,000 Mabuhay Miles. A free roundtrip ticket will be given in the Barkada Flights promo for every two roundtrip Mabuhay Class or three roundtrip Fiesta Class tickets purchased using a MasterCard card. More details can be obtained at www.philippineairlines.com or www.mabuhaymiles.com.

To qualify for the Soaring Higher promotion, cardholders must purchase a PAL domestic, regional or international electronic ticket (e-ticket) through PAL ticket offices in the Philippines or through the PAL internet booking engine using any Philippine-issued MasterCard from now until Oct. 31and travel between now and Dec. 15.

Time for a break: Boracay calls

For the Barkada Flights promotion, cardholders stand a chance to win one free roundtrip ticket with the same route and class of service for free. They simply have to purchase a minimum of two qualified PAL roundtrip Mabuhay Class or three qualified PAL roundtrip Fiesta Class tickets using their MasterCard card. Those traveling to domestic destinations can buy their tickets from now until Oct. 31, and fly between now and Nov. 30. 

Regional and international travelers had until Sept. 7 to purchase their tickets and must use their ticket anytime from Sept. 16 to Nov. 30. The promotion, however, is not applicable for travel between Oct. 22 and Nov. 7.

 The raffle prize will depend on the Class of Service of the purchased and flown e-tickets, that is domestic tickets entitle the cardholder to only win the prize for domestic flights. The winning e-ticket number will be drawn electronically on Feb. 15, 2011. Prizes may be claimed upon surrender of the winning ticket’s boarding pass.
