Living la vida Taal

-
A lifestyle comparable to what the well-heeled of Lake Como in Italy enjoy is what Filinvest leisure is currently developing. Following its success in creating leisure-oriented products such as The Palms Country Club in Alabang, the land developer is now creating Laeuna de Taal, a prime lakeside residence for that second home in the country. Sixty hectares of lakeside living is now changing the landscape of Talisay. Described as embracing an organism, uncluttered lifestyle, celebrating nature and her gifts, inspiring self-discovery, rest and recreation, Laeuna de Taal is 10 minutes away from bustling Tagaytay.

Two options are now being offered: "Orilla" or lakeside is a stretch of residential living closest to the Lake Club. The cuts here are 300 square meters in size, an ideal size for a comfortable home. "Bahia" or by the bay is an enclave of 900-square-meter lots with prime lake and mountain views.

By next year, the first phase of the Lake Club will be operational. It will have boardwalks, garden huts and flower gardens. The architecture for this center of activities will resemble an enlarged version of one’s patio, where family and friends can congregate. Hiking trails and view decks will be ready for viewing by summer next year.

When architect Emmanuel A. Miñana first visited the site, he saw an opportunity to create lush tropical gardens and water elements to cleanse the spirit after a drive form manila. His design reflects an Asian tropical village all looking into an interior garden. He envisions a spatial flow that’s languid, and the design of the lake Club and planned accommodations to be friendly and relaxed.

The landscape architecture envisioned for Laeuna de Taal is inspired by the same design discipline. A fusion of Zen principles and modern tropical concepts is hat Ponce Veridiano believes will complement the natural character of the place. He chose white flowers such as calachuchi, sampaguita and kamuning to create a monochromatic tone enhanced by silver dust and wall shrubs.

"Residents will feel that every part of the grounds is part of their own garden," Veridiano said.

With a resort environment so close by, a family’s life cam always be a revitalizing experience. But for those don’t want to feel too removed from city life, Taal Ridge provides eateries, gourmet and organic restaurants, craft studios, spas and inns.

This is Laeuna de Taal: embraced on one side by the mystical lake and the tourist-town allure of Tagaytay.
