Personal space
The communal spaces at WeWork allow members to feel at home and make connections, and the pantry is always stocked with snacks and drinks. There’s also an indoor garden with wooden swing sets and room to pace.

WeWork’s first Philippine location is a well-curated hub of productivity and collaboration.

MANILA, Philippines — An office with unlimited coffee, Monday brunch, neon signs, and swing sets? It sounds too good to be true, but it’s become a reality right here in Metro Manila. WeWork, an international network of shared workspaces headquartered in New York, has opened its doors in Bonifacio Global City.

With collaboration, creativity, and community at its core, WeWork aims to empower freelancers and entrepreneurs, share opportunities, and help businesses thrive by offering services and facilities that are technologically advanced, accommodating, and accessible. The BGC location is the latest of over 400 found in 100 cities across 27 countries.

Spanning two floors, the spaces are pleasant and tailored for both working and socializing, from bright lighting that’s easy on the eyes (including large windows that allow in natural light) to clean interiors that give way to pops of color. There are murals and neon signs, a rainbow hombre wall, and an area where you can get it all done while sitting on a wooden swing against decorative grass and spectacular views of the city.

Both floors have a pantry that’s always stocked — there’s coffee and tea, along with utensils and a microwave. The common areas are perfect for taking breaks and getting to know and share your passions with fellow creatives. There’s even a room for team-building games and karaoke. Printing and copying areas can be found all around, and you can choose to have packages and mail sent to WeWork as well — an especially convenient feature for travelers.

Whether you’re working solo or contributing to a team of any size, WeWork has dedicated areas for any goal or occasion. Private nooks and booths for individuals or pairs provide cozy distraction-free productivity. There’s a classic conference room, a brainstorm room with whiteboards and plenty of space to move around, and a conversation room with comfortable furniture for celebrations and casual meetings. Private offices for all kinds of companies, from traditional businesses to savvy startups, can also be found.

A membership entitles you to privileges not only in the country, but also in global locations. Having the WeWork app on your phone ensures a fuss-free, seamless experience: from booking rooms, to organizing events, to engaging with others on a virtual bulletin board and finding just what you need. All services and facilities are available at no additional cost.

The most prominent piece of art at WeWork is a mural that’s all about bayanihan, or togetherness, which highlights the community-driven vision of the workspaces. It’s a reminder that when it comes to the ideal working environment, you can’t underestimate good connections — and also good design.
