Paula Lynn Yap wears Danilo Franco at Flores de Mayo

MANILA, Philippines - Paula Lynn Yap, 16, a freshman European Studies student at the Dela La Salle University, will be a sagala in the traditional and annual Flores De Mayo organized by the Congregacion del Santissimo Nombre del Niño Jesus (this year as a tribute to its founder Mang Ben Farrales) on May 5, 5 p.m. at the Mall of Asia complex. Paula will wear a Danilo Franco slinky silhouette of a terno enhanced by the extended panels on the familiar butterfly sleeves and train. Consistent with this year’s theme “Colors of Mindanao,” traditional Maranao malong patterns which are produced on the back-strap loom are interpreted on sheer net with beadwork. She will be escorted by Diego Loyzaga.
