If your life were a TV show, what would it be?

WORDS WORTH - Mons Romulo -

Sometimes, life follows art or vice versa. While many fictional TV shows are based on real events, we sometimes catch a show and think: “This just happened to me!” or “I just said that line!” Would your life be as funny and sexy as Sex and the City, as life-altering as House, or as dark as Supernatural? Whatever it is, let’s just hope it’s not as dangerous as Prison Break!

Tess Villareal, dog groomer, Pampered Pooch: If my life were a TV show, it would be dramedy (drama and comedy) adventure. Along with the tears that come with the drama, my life is likewise peppered with a lot of laughter and humorous incidents that me and my friends-in-the-know laugh over now. The adventure factors in because I often find myself in unusual yet challenging circumstances that I would never imagine being in, yet I relish the fact that it’s a facet that brings a lot more fun and excitement in my life which keeps compounding to my treasure trove of wonderful memories. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Carmina Sanchez, marketing communication consultant: My life is filled with opportunities to meet lots of new people, see new places and events and, fortunately, many chances to try good food and even travel because of the nature of my work. But the other side of my life is so laid-back. I like vegging out and just playing with my dog. So my life would have to be a combination of many shows: Party Planner with David Tutera, and Travel and Living cooking shows, and maybe a bit of any Animal Planet dog show. Sometimes with a bit of Sex and the City thrown in because, like Carrie, I have lots of colorful friends who fill my life with fun times and fabulous clothes.

Jm Rodriguez, TV host: It would definitely be a musical comedy with the story revolving around a guy who goes out to a club and meets all these characters.

Robert John Blancaflor, events and visual and visual stylist: It would be similar in a few ways to Entourage. First, I was a nobody who worked hard to reach where I am now (and continue to work harder). Secondly, it’s because my work allows me to meet different individuals/characters every day and those experiences make me a better person no matter what these people’s intentions are. Thirdly, I balance my lifestyle: I work hard but I also enjoy the leisures of life. And also I make sure my family is well taken care of.

Pen Uy, marketing assistant, Jewelmer: Ally McBeal with its cycles of the seemingly normal blah days punctuated by sudden fantasies, dramas, obsessions, countless humiliating, boo-boos and heartaches. In the end, still being able to laugh everything off and go on. Even my friends will agree that I am as crazy as Ally.

Camille Lhuillier, student: If my life were a TV show it would be a mix between Gossip Girl and Sex and the City, but without all the drama. It would be a mix between those two shows because the life I am trying to lead is fun, career-oriented and I share it with a close group of great friends, without whom I wouldn’t be happy. What my life has in common with those shows is that I live in a fantastic city, the main character in my life. If I didn’t live in Rome with the people I love, my life would tell a completely different story. It’s quite funny because in both TV shows the characters are so strong and have fantastic personalities, just like my real friends who make my life as intriguing as those shows.

Beth Mendoza, general manager and marketing director, People Asia magazine: If my life were a TV show, it would definitely be Sex and the City. I love the fast pace of New York, the clothes, the people, the gimmicks and the places…I am a little of each of them: the lifestyle and talent of Carrie Bradshaw, the confidence and independence of Samantha Jones, the optimism and romantic trait of Charlotte York, and the braveness, career-mindedness and positive outlook of Miranda Hobbes. Each episode is real and true to life and I am sure it’s not only me who can relate to their daily experiences.
