'Mommy loves you': BINI's Mikha Lim looks back at adopting puppy
MANILA, Philippines — Local rescue group Pawssion Project belatedly thanked Mikha Lim of the P-pop girl group BINI for adopting one of their puppies earlier this year.
Pawssion Project shared on their social media accounts images of Mikha visiting their shelter last February as she was looking to adopt, as suggested by another BINI member, Sheena Catacutan.
Mikha underwent the entire adoption process and made time for a required interview, and upon approval, visited the shelter where her eyes landed on a puppy named Muffin.
Muffin is one of the puppies of a dog named Napay (because she enjoyed bread) who was rescued by Pawssion Project just before she gave birth to her litter.
The singer adopted Muffin but changed his name to Po because one of her other dogs was named Shifu, and the two resembled the characters with the same names from the "Kung Fu Panda" films.
The rescue group thanked Mikha for adopting Po and giving him a home and family, "Mama Napay (who was also adopted by someone else) clearly approved of you when you came to visit the shelter and we're sure she's so grateful to you for giving one of her babies the life he deserves!"
Pawssion Project's post also included a letter Mikha penned for Po looking back at why she chose him.
"You were such a little baby when I first saw you, but when our eyes met I knew you'd bring the brightest light into my life," the artist wrote. "You looked so sad yet playful toward your siblings and everyone around you."
Mikha said Po grew up so fast that he's bigger than Shifu now and is an annoying brother to him and her other dogs, Haru and Nezu.
"I'm so grateful that you're a part of this family... I promise to take care of you, spoil you, and give you all the love you deserve. Mommy loves you so much!" Mikha ended.
