WATCH: OFW mom’s emotional reunion with daughter for Christmas
MANILA, Philippines — An overseas Filipino worker, who has not seen her family for six years, recently surprised her daughter by going home from the Middle East in time for the holidays.
During the launch of Lazada’s 12.12 grand year-end sale on Monday, the online shopping site granted the wish of a Filipino girl to not only to receive the gift she wanted for the holidays, but also to be reunited with her mom. Live music from ballad group The Company made the reunion even more emotional.
Last week, celebrities KC Concepcion, Karylle Tatlonghari-Yuzon, Iza Calzado, Cristalle Belo-Pitt, Divine Lee, Tessa Prieto and Tim Yap shared the love on Instagram by asking their followers to post their wishes this Christmas. The aim was to grant wishes of people from across the country to celebrate the true meaning of this season.
Apart from the sale that ends on December 12, the online shopping portal also donated to Cribs Foundation. Boxes of powdered milk, packs of toys and first-aid kits were sent for the children’s foundation in Antipolo.
In the spirit of gift-giving, tech giant Acer, in line with online shopping site Shopee’s 12/12 Big Christmas Sale, is offering an Aspire ES14 laptop at only P12 and discount on other products.
