MANILA, Philippines — To warmly mark the advent of Christmas, Robinsons Supermarket showered visitors and shoppers with joy at the Holiday Fair held at Robinsons Galleria on November 10 and 11.

“We all know that the Christmas season is all about family bonding, so we wanted to create a venue for families to accomplish exactly this. It’s all about making memories, and Robinsons wants to be a part of that,” Robinsons Supermarket Marketing Manger Aja Totanes told Philstar.com in an interview.

An instant hit

The fair was an instant hit, especially for kids and kids-at-heart who were treated to Christmas Storybook-themed festivities at the mall’s activity center.

There were stuffed stockings free for all, which come personalized for each guest. Holiday cookies were decorated with edible designs, while the DIY glitter globe challenged everyone’s creativity, too!

There were more Christmas-themed booths that offered games and take-home gifts.

“It’s Christmastime, so people are looking forward to bazaars, fairs and market because it’s a good time to discover good deals and promos. So for Robinsons to come up with an event like this—treating their consumers—it’s a pretty good idea. And it’s a very good opportunity for me to be able to bond with my child. As a mom, you try to make the most of your little time,” actress Bettina Carlos told Philstar.com in an exclusive interview.

“And what I noticed, there’s a Christmas stocking booth. I grew up with that tradition. And it’s nice that through Robinsons, I’m able to share this tradition with my daughter,” Carlos said.

Filled tummies, filled hearts

When time came for snacks, everyone’s tummies were filled with free scoops of ice cream, maraconi salad with chicken slices, and premium milk shakes—just to name a few.

As they enjoyed their bites and refreshment, customers were serenaded with soothing harmonies from the St. John Bosco Children’s Choir, conducted by Wesley Agpaua.

Children, meanwhile, had a chance to sit down with Santa Claus. With his loud, mirthful voice, he captivated kids with a lighthearted story about the life of Jolly Ol’ St. Nick.

Supporting international advocacy

Through the challenging Nutcracker game, everyone was able to donate to World Vision, an international humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities for a better life.

“Ang ganda ng event, ang exciting, ang daming activities. This is an event for the whole family—spending time, celebrating—and eating! For sure maraming batang mag-e-enjoy. And as a mom, this kind of event really gives me useful ideas. And I like the fact that through a simple game, we are even able to donate to charity (World Vision),” said mom and food blogger Joy Gurtiza.

Promoting memories

To commemorate their visit, a photo booth was set—with the help of a happy Christmas elf, no less—for take home photos.

All this guaranteed a fun time for visitors who easily availed stamp cards for a minimum purchase of P350 from participating brands Nestle, Wyeth, Selecta, P&G, Froneri, Unilever and Abbott.

“Right when I stepped in, I could immediately feel the Christmas spirit. All of the partner brands here are always on the Christmas table,” said mom and stylist, Louisa Mercado of “Art of Being a Mom” blog.

For the whole of November and December, Robinsons Supermarket shoppers can also enjoy P100 off coupons for a minimum single purchase of P3,000 inclusive of P350 worth of participating sponsor products. Robinsons Rewards cardholders can also earn 1 rewards point for every purchase of any participating sponsor item every Tuesday within the promo period.
