MANILA, Philippines — Grab is calling on Star Wars fans to let their side be known, The Resistance or The First Order.

By opening the mobile ride-hailing app and opting in, users can choose between the galactic sides in the film “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” which is set to be released in the Philippines on December 15. Their app then re-skins to their side and display icons of Star Wars spaceship for five weeks.

In collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, Grab launches the Star Wars campaign to give its users a priceless, immersive and rewarding experience in lieu with the latest Star Wars film. It is highlighted by weekly battles between The Resistance and The First Order users. Only the winning side will unlock special prizes like a Sphero Droid and Lego Set.

Besides the challenge, Grab users can also earn points to redeem exclusive “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” prizes for every ride. Prizes include collectibles and tickets to block screenings.

The more rides they take, the closer they get to the grand prize: an all-inclusive trip for two to the world’s largest privately owned Star Wars memorabilia museum, the Rancho Obi-Wan in San Francisco, California.

Running until mid-December, the campaign will culminate in an on-site final battle among top Grab users. More details of the event will be announced at a later date.
