MANILA, Philippines — As professionals approach the golden age of 50, retirement plans start to be part of the picture but not to distract from the work that still needs to be done.

Some aspire to relax upon leaving the professional world, others want an early start.

Whether for retirement or relaxation, Robinsons' RLC Residences have announced plans for the fourth building of their AmiSa Private Residences in Mactan, Cebu, the tower being resort-inspired internally and literally as it is meters from the sea.

AmiSa Tower D will also get its resort-like vibe from a 24-hour concierge service, a number of leisure amenities including swimming pools, a private theater, and a jogging trail, and exclusive hotel perks to the nearby Dusit Thani Mactan Resort like discounts and in-unit massage/spa services.

The new tower will have an unobstructed view of the Magellan Bay and Hilutungan Channel because the property is situated in Punta Engaño, which can be best enjoyed on a planned Sky Lounge on the rooftop.

According to its developer, what makes AmiSa Tower D stand out from the other three buildings are that its 176 units across 16 floors (12 units per floor) will be longer, have wider and larger windows, and all have a balcony.

Construction is expected to begin by the end of 2022 and take five years to complete, but as early as now units are prepared for selling.

RLC Residences have said they will prioritize selling units as permanent spaces rather than being purchased for rent, though it is aware that individuals practice such for Airbnb or similar rental companies for lodging.

Customers first

The company has ensured that customer centricity is the focus of this new tower, with Business Unit General Manager John Richard Sotelo saying they will put customers first and ego last.

Sotelo said they constantly talk to customers even to things beyond unit spaces and always place them in the middle throughout the process, "We don't really know what they want now, and in five years." He added that part of RLC Residences being more customer-centric is by expanding their Cebu office.

Because the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that some individuals prefer work from home, AmiSa Tower D will be equipped with fiber-optic technology. The units have been constructed, and will be customized, to be adapt to work-from-home individuals (better lighting, positioning of desks and walls, etc.) in order to allow for a calm and aesthetic environment.

Some other customizations include a walk-in closet, a pantry drawer or cabinet, and wash/dryer provision.

Safety and sustainability

Cebu was among the provinces heavily hit by Typhoon Odette in December 2021, resulting in minor damages to AmiSa Private Residences' clubhouse, pool and lounge.

RLC Residences has taken such an even into account for the new tower, allotting thicker windows, having better generator quality and satellite phone provisions.

AmiSa Tower D will have RLC Residences' smart homes features to highlight secure home living with a Smart Light, an Audio/Video Intercom System direct to reception, and a Smart Lock that consists of a key card, keypad, biomaterics and the old-fashioned key.

RLC Residences has also considered the environment in the construction of the new tower which is why it is looking to use solar power for common areas and receive green accreditation not only for AmiSa Tower D but for all future projects.
