A stylish group of ladies affectionately dubbed the “Best Buddies” recently enjoyed a lavish dinner at No.8 China House restaurant in Grand Hyatt Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Personally welcomed by the always convivial Bonifacio Landmark Realty and Development Corp. president Hans Hauri, the ladies enjoyed a splendid array of Cantonese dishes expertly prepared by No.8 China House’s skilled chefs. Dressed in their chic ensembles, the buddies excitedly exchanged stories and caught up with each other’s lives amid the feast being prepared before them, the star of which was the peking duck — a dish slow-roasted in a specially built wood-fired oven. Always a treat to partake of this most wonderful delicacy.

Viva Madrid!

Invited guests, members of the media, and various personalities flocked to Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC) for a night of celebrating Spanish influence on local cuisine. Led by MPPC general manager Brian Connelly and director of sales and marketing Lara Constantino-Scarrow, the hotel’s Sabores de España Culinary Festival is a yearly culinary journey that features signature Spanish dishes from different regions of Spain. Café Marco, in cooperation with Sabores de España culinary consultant Gema Pido, crafted the delectable array of dishes for this most awaited event. The guests enjoyed signature Spanish dances from the Mactan Dynamic Dance Company before partaking of Spanish specialties such as jamon serrano, paella, fabadas, lengua estofado, assorted tapas and of course Café Marco’s very own Spanish sangrias.
