A number of people do not like credit cards — and for good reason. They make it easy to overspend and cardholders end up heavily in debt. However, responsible management of the credit card can open the door to more significant benefits that can make life a little easier. Budgeting and self-control are key to reaping the benefits of credit cards without the negative consequences.

One of the advantages is its convenience and handiness, not to mention its usefulness in times of emergency. Having a major credit card on hand means no more hurriedly running to the bank for cash, counting out change or scribbling payments for everyday expenses.

Visa recently presented the fifth edition of Visa Epic Experience where merchants in Cebu can now offer initiatives and exclusive dining and travel privileges for cardholders worldwide.

Participating in this program are the following sought-after establishments such as Urban Table at the Radisson Blu, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan’s Azure Beach Club, Saffron Café, and the enticing Spanish restaurant Enye. Also included is Waterfront Hotel’s gourmet walk that features international dining restaurants such as Tin Gow for Chinese, La Gondola for Italian and Mizu for Japanese cuisine.

In addition to dining perks, Visa Epic Experience platform also offers travel privileges such as 60 percent off published room rates and 30 percent off massage services at Crimson Resort and Spa in Mactan. The benefits of this program are available to all Visa cardholders until March 15, 2019.
