Of love and serendipity

Mike Ong, son of Pamela Baesa and the late Dionisio Ong, first laid eyes on Cristina Gomez, daughter of Dandy and Arlu Gomez, in a bridal gown at a fashion show featuring the works of designer Malu Veloso. A year later, in 2002, they found themselves studying in the same university, and Mike vowed to win Cristina’s heart. Sixteen years later, they finally tied the knot in a touching ceremony at Santuario de San Antonio in Makati City followed by an elegant reception at the Manila Ballroom of the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City. Surrounded by their family and friends, the lovely couple celebrated their love and commitment with sumptuous cuisine, superb music and dancing. It was an unforgettable commemoration of an enduring love and a serendipitous meeting.

Brilliant lawyer Rene Puno celebrated his birthday at their sprawling family home in Alabang. Attended by his loving wife Ann and their children Renee and lawyer Yago, the festivity was an opportunity for the family to pay tribute to their patriarch, who has been a wonderful husband and father throughout the years. It was a joyous gathering of the close-knit family and many of their longtime friends.
