Your fantasy can come true: A million x 3 shopping spree at the Shang

CRAZY QUILT - Tanya T. Lara (The Philippine Star) - June 28, 2014 - 12:00am

It’s everybody’s fantasy, what makes every shopper’s heart beat faster: the idea of shopping till you drop without having to spend a centavo of your own money — yes, to be given money to shop for free.

And because it’s Shangri-La Plaza making this fantasy come true, this shopping spree is worth P3 million (P1 million each for three winners). Imagine all the luxury brands to shop at.

Since Shang’s East Wing opened last year, shoppers looking for luxury brands no longer have to go from one mall to another. East Wing gathers some of the most well known high-end brands and houses them in an elegant mall with a luxurious ambience.

Shang’s luxe brands include Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Alexander McQueen, BCBG Max Azria, Bottega Veneta, Brooks Brothers, Carven, DKNY, Givenchy, Gucci, Giuseppe Zanotti, Hervé Léger, Hugo Boss, Jimmy Choo, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Paul & Shark and Saint Laurent.

These are brands you often see worn by Hollywood celebrities — and local personalities too — whether it’s at a red carpet premiere, or attending a more casual event to raise funds for charity, or doing an editorial spread.

Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti’s spring/summer collection by creative director Natalie Ratabesi is characterized by soft, light materials, such as organza, cotton and silk. It is sophisticated and nonchalant, sporty and street-style yet very much feminine.  BCBG Max Azria makes it easy for women to mix and match its separate pieces with layered jackets in soft materials. Its famous maxi and cocktail dresses come in soft layers that make you imagine summer breeze by the beach.

Bottega Veneta, Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Gucci are some of the most sought-after brands by Filipino women. No surprise then that Bottega has opened a store at Shangri-La Plaza’s East Wing. Marco Bizzarri, president and CEO of Bottega Veneta, says it is the perfect location for the brand. “Shangri-La Plaza East Wing can certainly be seen as a reflection on how much our clients value Bottega Veneta’s unrivaled reputation for service and quality, and the importance we place on accommodating their needs and desires as best we can."

As for Jimmy Choo’s shoes, handbags and other accessories, they truly are a girl’s best friends — sexy and fashionable combined with exceptional Italian craftsmanship. Occupying one of the biggest spaces at East Wing, Gucci gives its loyal clientele a stylish space where they can choose a new addition to their collection. For this season, Givenchy features bold colors in its bags and accessories, while Saint Laurent’s is what Elle UK describes as “late 1980s and the early 1990s by way of Los Angeles grunge.”  Carven also draws inspiration from the 1990s’ “elegant nonchalance” attitude. Alexander McQueen looked further back for his spring/summer runway show with the shapes, graphic forms and bold color, suggesting the “clean lines and the dropped waist of the 1920s in places.”

Giuseppe Zanotti’s collection of shoes and bags this season is bold in their embellishments — especially for the women’s line — gold on black leather that’s surely to grab anyone’s attention.

Shangri-La Plaza distinguishes itself as the only mall in Asia to have a Hervé Léger store at its East Wing. The ultra-chic fashion house is responsible for pioneering the iconic “bandage dress.” DKNY brings to Manila the energy and spirit of New York. Its pieces are fun and very much in tune with what real women want. The same goes for Marc by Marc Jacobs, which has bridged luxury couture and a comprehensive lifestyle brand with pieces that are bursting with fun.

Now you can shop at these stores if you win in Shangri-La’s fantasy shopping spree “A Million x 3 Shang Shopping Fantasy” raffle promo. It’s the biggest style blowout as Shang ups the stakes with three lucky winners of a fantastic P1 million shopping spree each.

Every P2,500 cash or charge single official receipt purchase from any store at Shangri-La Plaza gives you a chance to win. You can even double your chances by using a MasterCard debit or credit card for your purchases. Shangri-La Plaza’s “A Million x 3 Shang Shopping Fantasy” raffle promo runs until July 2.
