New technology in prenatal digital imaging

(The Philippine Star) - September 15, 2015 - 12:00am

MANILA, Philippines - Healthway Medical, the trusted and preferred mall-based clinics in the Philippines, partners with In My Womb to integrate an innovative 3D/4D ultrasound technology in its wide range of healthcare services. This new equipment is now available at Healthway Greenbelt 5 clinic.

In My Womb is the leading 3D/4D ultrasound and ob-gyn prenatal center in the Philippines which offers various prenatal digital imaging services and packages for expecting mothers. 3D/4D ultrasound is essential to patient care as it provides better visualization of the unborn baby and dynamic multiplanar views of the fetal heart, enabling physicians to detect congenital birth defects and genetic syndromes that might not show up on a standard ultrasound. These images may provide more information about abnormalities or defects that can help doctors plan the repair after birth.

This new technology has an enhanced method of seeing an unborn child and his/her movement, adding color and dimension to the conventional ultrasound procedures in real-time.

According to Dr. Sheila Illescas, co-founder of In My Womb, they chose Healthway Medical because they “want to give expecting mothers the most convenient way to experience 3D/4D ultrasound technology that goes beyond images.”

“Expecting parents are encouraged to join, see, and experience the joy of parenthood even while the baby is still in the womb, only with the newest 3D/4D ultrasound technology,” said Carmie de Leon, vice president for sales and marketing of Healthway Medical.
