MANILA, Philippines -  Architect Gil Coscolluela’s passion in life is to build others’ dreams and make them a reality. As an architect at his family’s firm, W.V. Coscolluela & Associates, Coscolluela is a part of the team famous for being the brilliant mind behind skyscrapers in Makati, shopping malls, and high-rise office buildings and condominiums.

Over the years, Coscolluela’s hard work and impressive style caught the attention of several clients who also want to build their dream houses and establishments. Now, Coscolluela has not only established a reputation for himself and the firm, he is also one of the most sought-after architects in the country.

As such, Coscolluela undoubtedly has a very busy lifestyle. He usually wakes up at 7 a.m. and starts his day by playing with his one-year-old son Santiago. By 9 a.m., he’d be at his office or on site to fulfill his work duties. He ends work at 6 p.m. and finds time to play sports with friends before coming home to his wife and kid. 

 â€œIt definitely is a demanding job and it really has its moments. Not only do I deal with a lot of clients, I also need to be on the go all the time and be ready to run to the site when needed,” he explains.

As if his role as an architect isn’t enough, Coscolluela is also a husband, father, and just recently, an entrepreneur. Together with four of his friends, he put up Skin, a retail business that produces and sells leather-based furniture.

He adds, “Where I am now I think can be credited to the fact that I have an alert mind, good memory, and sustained energy level. And because I have those, not only am I able to do my work well, and afford an active lifestyle.  I can also say that I’m living my life to the fullest today.”
