When women wear their hearts on their sleeves

-

This holiday season, Apple & Eve lets women literally wear their hearts on their sleeves with the launch of Children’s World, a corporate social responsibility project in partnership with Bantay Bata 163.

The campaign, which started early this year, provided children from Bantay Bata with a venue to express their views on life through a one-day art workshop that was held at their home in Children’s Village. Select artworks created during the workshop were chosen to be part of Apple & Eve’s Children’s World Collection, which will be available in store this month. All items in the Children’s World Collection are priced at P748 each.

All proceeds generated from the collection will be donated to Bantay Bata 163 to spread hope, especially in the season of giving.

Spearheaded by Apple & Eve’s president Teresita Saw, the project is all about recognizing the importance of childhood and how having a wonderful childhood is the right of every child.

“Being a family-owned business, children play an important role. By using Apple & Eve’s retail expertise and lending our merchandise and channels to reach out to the less privileged, the campaign aims to spread hope to children, especially during Christmas,” explains Penelope Ngu, Apple & Eve sales and marketing director

Apple & Eve’s Children’s World Collection is composed of vividly created artworks of flowers, butterflies, and hearts in vibrant colors that give insights on how children view the world, despite their unfortunate circumstance. To launch the campaign, Apple & Eve staged an exhibit of the kids’ artworks along with the final designs that would be sold in their stores all over the metro.

“Bantay Bata 163 is proud to partner with Apple & Eve for this first-of-its-kind effort and we are thankful for the brand’s generosity in reaching out to children especially during the season of giving,” says Tina Monzon Palma, program director, Bantay Bata 163.

“By providing kids with the opportunity to express their thoughts through shirt designs, Apple & Eve has given a deeper meaning to fashion and we look forward to working with them more on future projects,” adds China Aurelio, senior resource mobilization officer.
