Travel show with Victory Liner promotes the best of the North

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines is a traveler’s paradise from Batanes to Jolo. Each corner of the country boasts its own utopia that is always ready to be explored. The North Luzon is no exception. The pine-clad highlands of Baguio, azure waters of Pagudpud, hanging coffins in Sagada and the emerald terraces in Banaue are just some of the amazing sights that await the adventurous in this exotic area.

Prospective travelers who want a sneak peak of Northern Luzon’s exciting mishmash of culture, food and tourist destinations should catch Buhay Pinoy,  which airs every 10 a.m. Saturdays over PTV4.  In the program, Victory Liner has a segment on Lakbay Norte travel.

Buhay Pinoy travel whets the viewers’ appetite with a rundown of each province’s must-see places and must-experience events. By featuring colorful town festivals, best accommodations, extraordinary cuisine, extreme adventures and people, it teases without divulging too much fine points so that there will be many details left for tourists to explore on their own.

Hosted by Victory Liner’s vice president for treasury and marketing, Buhay Pinoy travel pushes viewers to pack up their bags, hit the road and have fun without shelling out a lot of money. “We want them to personally experience the adventure and activities that our travel team did,” said Marivic del Pilar.

Patty Santos, one of the main hosts of Buhay Pinoy, personally sees the program line up so that each travel episode is fresh, unique and equally exciting as with the others. Many times, the local government units of various provinces take the initiative by inviting the show to cover their town events and activities.

Buhay Pinoy Travel relies on the latest technology to produce clear and crisp images. Del Pilar added, “We use DJI aerial drones for scenic shots, Go Pros for action and water sports, and DJI Ronin for moving and gliding shots. The shots are high-quality and so sharp, they can literally give the viewers goosebumps. It is as if they are actually experiencing the adventure on screen”

The segment caters to a broad spectrum of viewers, especially those who want to tour the country on a limited budget. When Buhay Pinoy was reformatted from a tele-magazine program to a full travel show, its management specifically partnered with Victory Liner. Cementing the successful collaboration is both teams’ shared vision of promoting local tourism.

The wonderful synergy behind the show has rightfully earned it an Anak TV Seal award for the past three years. It is also consistently at the top 10 most viewed TV programs on PTV4.

Patty Santos shared that they will feature more provinces, even those that are not part of Victory Liner’s routes, in the coming weeks. “Expect Buhay Pinoy to bring you closer to more of the best kept secrets of Luzon,” she said.
