MANILA, Philippines — Matinee idol Ian Veneracion has admitted he is not doing anything special to his skin despite being considered as one of the most handsome male celebrities today.

In an interview with the media during the recent press conference of the “Totally Zsa Zsa” concert where he is the special guest of “Divine Diva” Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ian swore he is only using soap for his face and body.

“None at all,” he said when asked what he is using as skincare.

“Palagi akong pinapagalitan ng wife ko. ‘Yung wife ko may makeup remover, sabi niya, ‘Gamitin mo ‘to,’ tapos after ilang months, ‘Bakit hindi nababawasan? Anong ginagamit mo?’ Sabi ko, ‘Soap,’ sabi niya, ‘Hindi, pang-kamay lang ‘yan,’” Ian shared.

“Nakakatamad din kasing mag-ano e. Ako, tamad na tamad ako ‘pag sinabi niyang, ‘Punta ka sa ganto, magpa-cleaning ka sa facial o ano.’ Nakakatamad kasi e. Hindi ka makakatulog. Kahit sa salon, hindi ako nagpupunta para magpagupit. A person comes to my house then gives me a 20-minute haircut. ‘Yung ganon. Parang ang dami kong pwede pang gawin,” he expounded.

Ian, however, admitted that he tried having a facial before: “Kaya alam kong boring because I’ve tried it.”

At 44 years old, Ian said his brain got stuck at 14 years old, so he does not feel like he is aging.

“I think my brain got stuck at 14. All the kalokohan, the kapilyuhan, I’m like, ‘What happened to time?’ I just turned 44 last February. Feeling ko ‘yung kakulitan ko got stuck there,” Ian said.

As such, Ian enjoys his free time doing daredevil hobbies that include sky diving, motocross racing and paragliding, to name a few.

Unknown to many, however, Ian is also a musician. Hence, he is Zsa Zsa’s special guest in her concert at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila on May 16.

“Music is personal to me. I value it as much as I value myself as a person, but I never brag about my talents. I’m the type of guy who wouldn’t be first to sing in videoke even if you ask me several times,” he said.

The concert aims to re-imagine Zsa Zsa as the eternal woman singing her heart out through the decades: as a ‘50s Hollywood Star, a swinging ‘60s “it” girl, a ‘70s disco queen, and as an ‘80s and ‘90s Original Pinoy Music icon.
