Here are 10 restaurants owned by 'mompreneurs' with glowing reviews by regular folks who've had their taste of their menus:

Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen (4.5 out of 5 stars, 841 Google reviews)

From a small restaurant in BF Homes in Parañaque in 2010, Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen now has 10 branches all over the metro.

For restaurateur Crystal Tremblay-Sison, the first ingredient of a successful family business is its ability to evoke a comforting sense of home.

It does not come as a surprise then that Mama Lou’s best-selling signature dishes like the Baked Truffle Salpicao, Baked Squid Ink Risotto, and Beef Ribs are well-loved by moms.

Among their special menu are the four Mama's BUN Deal, a package of their most popular dishes that comes with iced tea and focaccia bread.

Mom and Tina’s Bakery Cafe (4.5 out of 5 stars, 449 Google reviews)

When it comes to cakes and pastries, Mom and Tina's Bakery Cafe is among the most-talked about.

Decadent and sweet, its homemade cakes and cupcakes are to-die for.

Twenty-five years since Tina Santos began selling her homemade goodness in 1996 and put up the well-loved bakery cafe with her mom Belen Torres, it now has four branches in the metro that has become synonymous with cupcakes, muffins, cookies and sugar-free cake rolls.

Stacy’s (4.5 out of 5 stars, 113 Google reviews)

This quiant restaurant started out as another Instagram-worthy foodie destination in June 2011 in Capitol Hills in Quezon City.

Have your Stacy Jones Tapa fix this Valentine’s day! Tender yakiniku cut beef sirloin smothered with loads of fried...

Posted by Stacy's on Saturday, 13 February 2021

Only a few days short of a decade, Stacy's has become one of the talk-of-the-town when it comes to good food.

Named after Angelique Castro's grandmother, the restaurant she co-founded with Aby Nachura is known for its fun menu that includes soups, cake, ice creams and soda fountains.

Sweet Ecstasy (4.5 out of 5 stars, 555 Google reviews)

"Keeps your mouth in sweet ecstasy," wrote one of the reviewers on its Google page. The common theme of their rave reviews is how good Sweet Ecstasy's burgers and kamote fries are.

They're not alone as Sweet Ecstasy is named third in the Big 7 Travel's 50 Best Burgers in Asia in 2019.

Radio DJ Monica Tobias is one of the owners of this supposedly after-hours milk and cookies cafe. But the sugary store--hence the name--began rolling out burgers to bolster its menu.

Angrydobo (3.6 out of 5 stars, 273 Google reviews)

Get a taste of Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo's adobo bowls.

The actress and YouTube creator introduced this concept that highlights steaming adobo bowls.

These aren’t ordinary adobo rice toppings since the meat is complemented with staple vegetables like laing, gising-gising and kangkong, perfect for that Mother’s Day celebration for a more home-cooked feel.

Bad Cafe (4.8 out of 5 stars, 58 Google reviews)

There’s nothing bad in this cafe. The restaurant name is coined from the owners’ first names Brian and Dianne.

It was their common love for specialty coffee that prompted them to open Bad Cafe, known for its soft Homemade Pretzel Bun.

Other favorites, which could make mothers feel extra special on Mother’s Day, are Lemon Meringue Pie and the Calamansi Pie.

Fleur de Lys (4.3 out of 5 stars, 79 Google reviews )

Foodies sure know Chef Jackie Ang Po for her many TV guestings as the congenial chef who cooks their favorite dishes.

Happy Thursday.... Thank you our dear customers for your orders.... Roast beef in Demi Glace and french beans party...

Posted by Fleur De Lys on Wednesday, 28 April 2021

Chef Jackie put up Fleur de Lys almost two decades ago and developed some of her dishes as a bonding moment with her daughter in the kitchen.

No wonder her restaurant offers dishes that are made out of love like Yoya Poy’s three-hour Bolognese Pasta with Chorizo and Cheesy Carbonara with Smoked Bacon, Queso de Bola, and Mushrooms, best for mothers who deserve so much love.

Cibo (4.4 out of 5 stars, 211 Google reviews)

Asia's Best Female Chef for 2016 as hailed by Asia's 50 Best Restaurants almost gave up her restaurant business. She turned to her family instead, seeking help from her siblings for support.

For almost three decades now, Cibo has been a headliner in the pizza business. For Mother’s Day, their signature thin-crust pizza is a good idea.

Bistro Pamana (4.6 out of 5 stars, 116 Google reviews)

By chef Happy Ongpauco-Tiu, Bistro Pamana is part of the 13 food brands under the Happy Concept group which specializes in offering Filipino dishes with a creative twist.

Look back on fun memories with mom with delights like Crispy Baby Pusit, Salmon Belly sa Sampaloc, and Pinya or Cebu Belly Lechon.

Mamou (4.5 out of 5 stars, 231 Google reviews )

Malou Montano-Fores’ nephew couldn’t pronounce her first name. He started calling her “Tita Mamou” instead which inspired the restaurant’s name and eventually bloomed into a brand in itself.

Mamou has grown with three branches in Serendra in The Fort, Rockwell in Makati and in Ortigas. The family style steakhouse' specialties include Lorenzo’s Truffle Cream pasta, the popular Angus Ribeye Steak, and Steamed Sea Bass.

Families can simply look up nearby or favorite restaurants on Google search or maps. The search results will show key information such as the restaurants’ business hours, dining and delivery options, contact details, ratings and reviews, crowdsourced photos.
