Wendy’s offers different look, new Heart, same old good taste

MANILA, Philippines – The year 2014 is big for Wendy’s as it offers three new surprises—a new product, a new endorser, a new look.
A hit in the United States, the Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger puts Wendy’s signature 100 percent U.S. beef patty, strips of bacon, melted cheddar cheese, and a special honey mustard sauce in between pretzel buns. The pretzel bum gives off a nice chewy crunch, setting it apart from the usual burger buns.
Adding excitement to Wendy’s this year is acclaimed and popular star Heart Evangelista. The actress, singer, and TV host joins the Wendy’s family this 2014 as its newest brand ambassador—the brand’s first endorser in several years. The actress—who embodies the Wendy’s motto of “quality is our recipeâ€â€”says a Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger is her favorite way of ending a tough work day.
“We definitely deserve this,†Heart said during the launch of the new Wendy’s product. Being a brand ambassador for Wendy’s also coincides with all the good things happening to the actress this 2014.
“It’s just amazing how all of this is happening at the same time. It’s overwhelming. I’m just so happy,†Heart said. “So much has happened in my life. I’ve learned so much. Last year was tough. This year, bumawi naman.â€
All of these new additions to Wendy’s is part of the brand’s aggressive expansion in the Philippines this year, as it opens new stores at Starmall Alabang and Ayala Fairview Terraces on February. Last year, 9 new stores were opened at Ortigas, Pasig, Glorietta 3 in Makati, SM Jazz Mall, The Portal Greenfield District, S&R Shaw Boulevard, NAIA 3, Harbor Point Subic, SM Clark, and The District Dasmariñas.
A modern and warm look with a cozy atmosphere compliments the new Wendy’s stores. Featuring the new Wendy’s logo with the signature pig-tailed redhead girl, the restaurants are lively, but warm and inviting. Lounge seatings are available for the customers plus Wi-Fi access. The menu can be clearly seen on LED boards.
Aside from the new Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger, Wendy’s is bringing its great tasting signature burger, the Baconator along with Bacon Mushroom Melt, Frosty, Fresh Iced Tea and Salad to more Filipinos all over the country.
Wendy’s is now aggressively innovating and improving by bringing original and delectable products to the people and constantly upgrading the look and service of its restaurants. As Heart Evangelista would say: “We deserve this!â€
