() - January 14, 2010 - 12:00am

MANILA, Philippines - Cebu is one of the most developed cities in the country. It is well-known for its rich history, interesting culture and mouth-watering dishes. These are some of the factors that prompted Cabalen to open its first branch outside Luzon.

Cebuanos are really fond of eating and they were thrilled when Cabalen “Eat All You Can, Eat All You Want” Restaurant opened in SM City Cebu on Aug. 19, 2009. Bringing the delectable Capampangan cuisine to Central Visayas is considered as one of Cabalen’s biggest breakthroughs. Cabalen affords Cebuanos and foreign and local tourists to savor the richness of Capampangan cuisine, while enjoying Cebu’s traditions and festivities.

With the opening of Cabalen in SM City Cebu two different regions have met halfway to share each region’s cuisine.

This month, as a tribute to Cebu’s well-known Sinulog Festival, Cabalen features some of the best Cebuano dishes like ensaladang mais, buttered tahong, and tinolang tuna, bam-i-guisado, humba Visaya, longganisa de Cebu escabecheng tanigue, punaw and utan.

Cabalen continues to offer Pampango dishes in its buffet from sizzling sisig, kare-kare, dinuguan, paksiw na lechon, and a wide array of choices for desserts like sampelot, tibok- tibok, leche flan and its famous “make-your-own halo-halo” bar. With these delectable treats, everyone will surely enjoy this remarkable buffet.

As Cabalen continues to grow, Cabalen Gloritetta 3, Cabalen TriNoma and Cabalen Mall of Asia introduce their ultimate buffet where food lovers can enjoy not only Capampangan cuisine but also Asian specialties from Thailand, China and Japan.

For reservations, visit Cabalen restaurants at 67 West Avenue, Quezon City; third level, Bridgeway, SM Megamall; ground level, Robinsons Place Manila; ground level, Robinsons Starmills, Pampanga; ground level Sta.
