Open to Visayas aspirants: MNP launches Mutya ng Pilipinas Cebu
MANILA, Philippines – The Mutya ng Pililinas (MNP) organization formally launched the Mutya ng Pilipinas Cebu competition, the first regional competition in the Visayas area through a presser at the Seda Hotel in Makati.
The contest is open to all Cebuanas and other interested aspirants from the nearby provinces of Bohol, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor. One winner will represent Cebu in the national finals.
“The Cebu organization has committed themselves to community building. They are one of the newest franchisees of MNP. Cebu will be doing more for the community, the Cebuanos, and other women from the Central Visayas region,” said MNP president Cory Quirino.
The Cebu competition will hold its screening on September 20 at the CWC Design Center.
“I find this new assignment as license holder very challenging. However, this gives us an opportunity to reach out to the less fortunate, aside from raising the MNP brand in the Visayas area,” shared Cebu franchise holder Dr. Sonie dela lCruz.
“As somebody from the Queen City of the South, this platform is a milestone for the Cebuanos. We are up for the challenge, as well as aim to excel and exceed the standard,” added license partner, lawyer Kim Mendoza.
The Mutya ng Pililinas Cebu platform will benefit the Aguila Business Club and the Climate Change Task Force. The latter entity is now focused on fulfilling the treaty stipulations that the Philippines signed in Paris, where the country will have reduced its carbon footprint to 25% by 2030, bringing our efforts closer to the zero footprint mark.
“This competition will choose the best representative of Cebu. A Cebuana queen always speaks her mind. The quality of the candidates from this regional search will be top notch,” said pageant director Rodgil Flores of the Kagandahang Flores camp.
Including Cebu, the Mutya ng Pilipinas organization has 17 other national franchisees and six overseas license holders from Fililino communities. In 2027, the United Kingdom Filipino community will join the international franchise holders.
The Mutya ng Pilipinas Cebu 2026 coronation night will unfold in the last week of September (either September 27 or 28) at the Marco Polo Grand Ballroom in uptown Cebu. Stay tuned!
