Miss Supranational 2026: Katrina Llegado wins the Philippines' 2nd crown
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines' Ma. Katrina Llegado has won the second Supranational crown for the Philippines, 13 years after Mutya Djoanna Datul's inaugural win for the country.
The 2026 Miss Supranational coronation night unfolded from the Strezelecki Ampitheatre in Nowy Sacz, Malopolska in Poland on July 31 (early morning of August 1 in the Philippines) as 67 women competed for the title.
Katrina was bestowed the new Fioletowa Crown with purple gemstones by outgoing queen Eduarda Braun of Brazil.
France's Eve Gilles, Brazil's Lara Marina, Nigeria's Ndah Eno and the Czech Republic's Karolína Gorylová were declared runners-up in descending order.
The new titleholder's performance was marked by a dress by Pablo Mendez III during the preliminary round, an evening gown by Rian Fernandez during the main competition and a gumamela-inspired national costume designed by Mich Viray.
Her winning response was in relation to "the moment she stopped trying to become the woman the world expected and started becoming the woman she's meant to be."
"I always believe that we should never fit into a mold. We are perfectly imperfect," Katrina said. "I am someone who struggles with perfection. [But] I am here today doing my best and becoming my best version."
She added, knowing she belonged in Miss Supranational, "I know [there is] a place for me, and this is becoming Supra — above and beyond."
Katrina first competed internationally in the Reina Hispanoamericana where she placed as fifth runner-up in 2019.
The De La Salle University graduate later competed twice in Miss Universe Philippines — second runner-up in 2022 and Top 6 in 2025.
