Eyeliners: The next generation
MANILA, Philippines — Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since my favorite liquid liner, K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner, was first introduced. I fell in love with this product because it made liquid eyeliner — always an intimidating prospect to your average woman — actually achievable and easy to do. Hello, DIY cat’s eyes! Plus, this eyeliner hardly ever smudged and lived up to its promise of keeping your eyes prettily defined for 24 hours until you washed it off. I actually gave up smudgy eye pencils, thanks to K-Palette.
A decade later, the Japanese brand hasn’t become complacent but continues to innovate, leveling up quality even more by making the liners — which were already highly pigmented to begin with — even more pigmented, more quick-drying, super waterproof, and enriching them with more beauty essences to care for the delicate eye area.
They’ve also introduced a new shade — Natural Black — to the core line of Deep Brown, Brown Black and Super Black. Personally, Deep Brown is my everyday go-to shade because it gives the most natural look; Brown Black, with its crisper, more elegant line, is suitable in a work setting; while I use Super Black for when I want the most drama and definition for evening and special occasions. Natural Black, which registers on the eyes like a charcoal gray, is a nice alternative for daytime. Your eyes will look brighter but the effect is so subtle people won’t know exactly why.
The packaging is sleeker as well, making K-Palette a perfect 10 in my book.
