How would you spend your #DoveMeTime?

MANILA, Philippines – In the quest for elusive quiet time, we go to great lengths. Aromatherapy. Music. Solitary sports. Reading. Everyone has a different idea of what would clear the mind. Bath time is where I would think of stories to write, unconsciously. For some reason, lather, water and bathroom acoustics make for a venue that’s conducive to thinking. At the #DoveMeTime event held recently, beauty editors shared their idea of “me time” — everyone agreed that bathing is more than just cleansing. It’s a ritual that involves the coming together of scents and textures that make one feel comforted, nurtured, and relaxed. I guess it’s the same for all women — and some men.

Dove recently launched a new line of products that will help us get the most out of our precious solo quiet time. Dove Purely Pampering range is a new line of moisturizing body washes and bars. The rich formula combines Dove’s unique NutriumMoisture technology with a blend of wholesome, skin-loving ingredients that envelope and moisturize skin with a full-bodied lather and relaxing scents, leaving skin balanced and renewed.

It comes in two combinations — Shea Butter and Warm Vanilla, for a deep and earthy aroma, and Coconut and Jasmine for a touch of freshness and femininity. I am partial to shea butter, because just the smell of it is warm and comforting enough. I feel like it goes well with an old book and some Stevie Wonder, whose voice is butter to my ears. And some candles. And wine. That’s my idea of me time. What’s yours?
