‘Dancing makes me high’

As if to impress the media guys but not so much to prove  that he deserves the title (no need to, actually), Zeus Collins kicked off the presscon (for his The Dance Machine Concert) last Wednesday at Relish restaurant (Scout Limbaga, Quezon City) with a sexy dance, after all he was touted as God of the Dance Floor during his stint in PBB (Pinoy Big Brother) 737.

“Dancing makes me high,” confessed Zeus during a one-on-one prior to the presscon. “As far as I can remember, I have been dancing since I was a kid. It was my mom who encouraged me. Sinasali niya ako sa mga dance contest sa mga barangay sa Pasay, kung saan-saan. She was also fond of singing. I would wake up listening to her singing. That’s how I learned how to sing.”

Born on March 19, 1993 (Pisces), Zeus Collins Arellano came from humble beginnings. He has five siblings, four of whom had to go to school and Zeus had to give way, that’s why he finished only first year high school in Pililla, Rizal. He offered no apologies when he couldn’t understand the questions so I had to Tagalize them. On It’s Showtime where he regularly appears with fellow #hashtags Ronnie Alonte, Macoy de Leon, Nikko Natividad and others, host Vice Ganda would rib (good-naturedly now) Zeus for his fractured English…all for fun.

Zeus has the body of a Greek god. In fact, he was named after the thunder god in ancient Greek religion who ruled as king of the gods of Mount Olympus. Collins was chosen by his dad whose favorite singer is Phil Collins.

With a body like his, Zeus has become easy prey for indecent proposals. But no, thank you, Zeus said he is not “into that.” When he was a teener, people tried to lure him into doing “macho dancing” for private shows, but it’s still a big no, although he wouldn’t mind posing in the nude for his girlfriend or an artist like Solenn Heussaff or Heart Evangelista for free.

Zeus stands 5’11”; weighs (oops! confidential daw!); and wears size-L shirt and briefs, and size-12 shoes.   

What is sexy to you?

“Yung kabuuhan. Kung ok ang ugali, mas sexy.”

When do you feel sexy?

“When I wake up in the morning. Siempre, you take off your clothes before you take a bath and you look at your body from head to foot.”

When did you lose your innocence?

“At 16.”

To a younger girl, an older girl or a girl your age?

“Slightly older…she was about 19.”

What kind of a girl turns you on?

“’Yung mabait. Someone I can trust and who will trust me.”

And what kind of a girl turns you off?

“Someone who has so many crushes. Mas ok kung ako lang.”

Is your girlfriend from showbiz?

“I don’t have a girlfriend. I’ve been single for a long time now, so I’m hoping to have one.”

Sexiest musical instrument?

“Guitar.”

Sexiest song?

“Pony (from the movie Magic Mike).”

Sexiest book?

“I don’t read books.”

Sexiest magazine?

“Playboy.”

Sexiest food?

“Spaghetti…kasi hinihigop mo ‘yon, eh!” (Makes slurping sound) ”Hahahaha!!!”

Sexiest car?

“Ferrari, my dream car.”

Sexiest part of your body?

“My shoulders.”

Sexiest part of a girl’s body?

“Boobs.”

Sexiest billboard?

“Ellen Adarna on a Bench billboard.”

Sexiest face of a woman?

“If she’s chinita, sexy face sa akin ‘yon.”

Like who?

“Maja Salvador.”

But Maja is not chinita.

“Kahit na!”

Sexiest clothes?

“Briefs.”

Sexiest sleepwear?

“Briefs pa rin. Sometimes, I sleep without briefs kasi I’m alone naman in my room.”

Sexiest furniture?

“Sofa.”

Why sofa?

“Because you can do it there.”

Have you done it “there?”

“Yes, once, hahaha!!!”

Sexiest TV show?

“Wild Flower. I was a member of the cast.”

Sexiest scene that you have done?

“Nang rumampa ako sa Cosmo show.”

Sexiest thing that you have done with somebody?

“Doing it in the car.”

While speeding?

“No, habang naka-park.”

Sexiest scene that you have seen in a movie?

“Xian Lim and Nathalie Hart in Sin Island.”

Sexiest scene that you have done in a movie or TV show?

“The scene that I did with Dawn (Chang, his PBB partner) in an episode of Ipaglaban Mo.”
