MANILA, Philippines — Some 300 eligible minors in Navotas with or without comorbidities were vaccinated with Pfizer jabs yesterday.

Eighteen minors with comorbidities were inoculated at the Navotas City Hospital.

More minors without comorbidities have registered for COVID-19 vaccination, Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

Tiangco lauded the city’s classification by the OCTA Research Group as “very low risk” for COVID while the rest of Metro Manila cities are considered “low risk.”

In Manila, Mayor Isko Moreno said the general pediatric vaccination would start today.

Over 51,000 minors have registered for the vaccination.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) honored the frontliners who died in the fight against COVID-19.
