Gallery News: ‘I Submit to the Wisdom of the Body’ at Silverlens

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Silverlens presents “I Submit to the Wisdom of the Body,” which is on view until Dec. 19 at Silverlens Gallery, second floor, YMC Bldg., Don Chino Roces Ave. Ext., Makati City.

The show features six contemporary artists from Hong Kong, namely, Nadim Abbas, Kwan Sheung Chi, Kong Chun Hei, Angela Su, Sarah Lai and Luke Ching. They’re joined by Filipino artists Gary-Ross Pastrana and Cocoy Lumbao, who are part of the show’s organizing and curatorial team, in establishing the proposition of how the practice of making art is akin to submitting/surrendering oneself to the forces of collective entity.
