Gallery News: ‘Mga Obra sa Santuario 2’ at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish

MANILA, Philippines -  The Franciscan Development Office, in partnership with Art Gallery Asia, presents “Mga Obra sa Santuario 2,” which is on view until Sept. 30 at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish, Forbes Park, Makati City.

The show is for the benefit of the Friar’s Health Fund, which assists ailing Franciscan friars. Featured are works of National Artists BenCab, Arturo Luz and J. Elizalde Navarro; Tam Austria, Manuel Baldemor, Raul Isidro, Ramon Orlina, Gus Albor and Norma Belleza, among others.

‘Articles of Disagreements’ at Lopez Museum

The Lopez Museum unearths the different forms of art writing and anecdotes of criticism in Philippine art history in  “Articles of Disagreements,” which opens on Sept. 19 at Lopez Museum, ground floor, Benpres Bldg., Exchange Rd. corner Meralco Ave., Pasig City. The show runs until Dec. 20.

Featured artists include young filmmakers Tito and Tita, Nilo Ilarde, Maria Cruz and 2012 Ateneo Art Awardee Buen Calubayan. The show revolves around the archives of the library along with the museum’s collection of works by Raymundo Albano, Fernando Zobel, Nena Saguil, Roberto Chabet, and more.
