MANILA, Philippines - Atlantis Productions celebrates its 15th anniversary with the first professionally licensed production of Ghost the Musical in the Asia Pacific region, which will run from April 25 to May 11 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium at the RCBC Plaza in Makati.

Ghost is a timeless fantasy about the power of love. Adapted from the hit film by its Academy Award-winning screenwriter, Bruce Joel Rubin, it follows the story of Sam and Molly, a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam’s untimely death. Trapped between two worlds, Sam refuses to leave Molly when he learns she is in grave danger. Desperate to communicate with her, he turns to a storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, who helps him protect Molly and avenge his death.

Ghost, The Musical features an original pop score from multiple Grammy Award-winners Dave Stewart (one half of the ’80s pop duo the Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard (co-writer with Alanis Morissette on the multi-platinum album “Jagged Little Pill”) among many other notable credits and collaborations.

Headlining the cast are pop superstar Christian Bautista (West Side Story, Cinderella) as Sam, musical theater actress Cris Villonco (Closer, A Little Night Music) as Molly, pop singer and former Miss Saigon star Ima Castro (Aida, In The Heights, Piaf) as Oda Mae, and theater actor Hans Eckstein (Piaf, Rock of Ages, The Addams Family) as Carl.

Also featured in the cast of Ghost are Altair Alonso, Mikkie Bradshaw, Bym Buhain, Arron Cadawas, Steven Conde, Milai Imperial, Kim Molina, Raul Montesa, Yael Pineda-Hall, Marisa Saroca, and Jamie Wilson. Ghost features choreography by Cecile Martinez, musical direction by Ceejay Javier, set design by Otto Hernandez, lighting design by Dong Calingacion, costume design by Daniel Arcinue, projection design by GA Fallarme, vocal coaching by ManMan Angsico, assistant direction by Jamie Wilson and illusion consultation by Max Kaye of Zongle Creative, UK.

Directed by Bobby Garcia, (The Addams Family, Carrie, Piaf, Cinderella with Lea Salonga), Ghost is presented through a special licensing agreement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide. Garcia says, “I am thrilled to bring this timeless love story to the stage with an exciting cast. Ghost is an extremely romantic musical about love, loss and what may lay in store for us in the afterlife, and I look forward to creating the show with this phenomenal cast and creative team.”

Ghost is also Atlantis’ first production in partnership with Ten Bridges Media Corp. of Bobby Barreiro and Tony Tuviera. The alliance of Atlantis Productions and Ten Bridges Media brings together experience in theater, television content creation and audience affinity.
