Up all night
Spectacular performances, pumped-up music, and good beer made #SMLAllNight the can’t-miss experience of the season.
Released

Fridays are all about the long nights, a last hurrah before you rest up for the weekend and get ready to do it all over again. After a long week, there’s no better way to cap it all off than grabbing all your friends and heading out to a neon-lit party in the city, where the drinks are flowing and the music is pumping.

Last May 3, San Mig Light threw the can’t-miss happening of the summer at BGC’s Uptown Parade, with a veritable who’s who of familiar faces in attendance. (Was that Jake Cuenca? You bet.) The event, dubbed All Night, drew crowds with eye-catching setups, exciting guests and performers, and everyone’s favorite beer that’s low on calories and high on unforgettable experiences. Staying up dancing and catching up in the late hours is never a problem when you’re feeling light and the buzz is just right.

Starting with a thrilling countdown, the festivities opened with a spectacle parade featuring rousing anthems from a full marching band, street dancers that moved with attitude, futuristic-looking acrobats, and angels — one of which happens to be Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, who stunned and charmed everyone before proceeding to hand out bottles of San Miguel beer around the area on a bar tour.

First up onstage was Kiana Valenciano, who performed the crowd-pleaser Does She Know along with tracks off her new album, which are all about heartbreak and feelings and are perfect for a night of dancing emotions away and/or talking things over. Listeners then got cool with rap duo Dante and Amigo, who delivered chill beats and hard-hitting verses to which one couldn’t help but sway along.

DJ Cupcakes and DJ Tsubasa, champions of the 2018 San Mig Light DJ Spin-Off, kicked the party up ten notches with perfectly timed bass drops and a steady supply of bops and hits, from current chart-toppers to modern classics like Usher’s Yeah.

The music wasn’t the only excuse to shake off worries and inhibitions. With a brightly lit archway, a little dance corner with a glowing, rotating disco ball, and a giant beer bottle against a neon sign that says “Mahaba-habang usapan,” #SMLAllNight wasn’t shy about showing attendees that they can have fun, relax, and take the coolest FOMO-inducing pictures.

Best of all, there was a two-for-one special on San Mig Light to galvanize and keep your spirits up — encouraging whether you want to share a toast with a pal, or you think “the more the merrier” means more drinks for yourself. Good beer, after all, equals good times, and good times equal a night for the books.
