6 reasons why you must attend Kerygma Conference 2015

Tina Santiago-Rodriguez - Philstar.com

Have you ever felt lost or confused? Or have you ever felt that there is something more to the life that you’re living right now? Or have you ever just simply sought growth in certain aspects of your life, but were not sure how to achieve it?

Well, there’s good news for you — the Kerygma Conference was created exactly for people like you (and me!) who have felt such things at one time or another. The conference is designed to be a place of hope and inspiration; a time for people to be inspired, encouraged and empowered to grow in the different areas of their lives.

Dubbed as “the biggest inspirational learning event in the country,” the first-ever Kerygma Conference was held nine years ago as a humble gathering led by lay preacher and bestselling author Bo Sanchez. The event keeps getting better, bigger and more filled with grace each year, touching many lives and bringing more souls closer to God.

This 2015, the Kerygma Conference in Metro Manila, set for Nov. 19 to 22, 2015, is expected to gather a crowd of around 20,000 people at SMX Convention Center and SM Mall of Asia Arena.

I’ve attended the conference before, and let me just say that it is truly like experiencing a piece of “heaven on earth.” So, whether you’ve never attended the Kerygma Conference before, or have been able to during its past runs, here are some reasons why you should attend this year:

1. You won’t just be inspired; you’ll learn a lot of practical things too — things that will help you live a better life.

The Kerygma Conference is not just an inspirational event — it’s a learning event too. With as many as nine classes of your choice from five different streams — business and career, leadership and education, church ministry and systems, wellness and health, and family and relationships — you’ll surely be able to learn new things and grow as a person.

2. You’ll get to listen to well-loved lay preacher and bestselling author, Bo Sanchez.

Most people know Bo Sanchez as a powerful speaker, witty author and financial literacy advocate. Over and above all these though, his “mission” is to let God use him to bless you and your family. Hear him speak in person about how much God loves you at the Kerygma Conference.

3. You will learn from world-class speakers.

The Conference’s plenary speakers — composed of Rex Mendoza, Justin Fatica (of the U.S. based Hard As Nails Ministry), Fr. Joel Jason, Arun Gogna and Alvin Barcelona — are all experienced speakers and are each in a class of their own. You will surely be inspired and empowered by their talks!

International speakers Jana Stanfield, Scott Friedman and Jonathan Low will also be at the conference to share important business and leadership tips during their respective classes.

Also included in the lineup of speakers are sought-after personalities like Francis Kong, Paulo Tibig, Jojo Apolo, Rissa Singson-Kawpeng, Ichel Alignay, plus other dynamic speakers who have only one aim: to bless you with their talks!

4. You will be able to make your long weekend more meaningful.

The conference will be held during the APEC Summit week. Many of you might already be making plans on how to spend the holidays in a meaningful way, so why not consider attending the Kerygma Conference?

The best part of the Conference schedule? Since November 19 has already been declared as a non-working holiday, you just need to take a leave on the 20th to be able to go to the conference! Think of it as an “investment” in yourself — and in the lives of those you love!

5. The conference has something for everybody.

For the young people, e.g. students, teenagers and even yuppies, there’s a Youth Conference on November 21 to 22. For the yuppies and other professionals who wish to learn more about improving their careers or maybe even start a business, there are special talks too. There are even talks for those who want to learn how to be “happy retirees,” talks for solo parents and so much more! Indeed, everyone who will attend the Kerygma Conference will come home with a whole lot of lessons learned!

6. You’ll be able to experience fun, faith-filled fellowship at the SM MOA Arena.

The Kerygma Conference will conclude with two “grand feasts” at the Mall of Asia Arena, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each “grand feast” will have a Holy Mass and plenary talks by Bo Sanchez and Alvin Barcelona, plus powerful worship. Non-conference attendees can attend the morning “grand feast” by purchasing tickets from www.smtickets.com. Meanwhile, the conference attendees who will attend the afternoon “grand feast,” will be treated to a “bonus blessing” — performances by Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Jaya!

Now, as a regular Kerygma Conference attendee, I can tell you that there are certainly more than six reasons for attending the conference. It will be a time of “refreshment” for weary souls, and a time of rejoicing for lonely ones. It will be a time of grace and of discovering where our true “home” is. So I really hope to see you there!
