Lacson: Economic problem is the real enemy
MANILA, Philippines — Poverty, corruption and economic inequality are the real enemies of Filipinos and not political rivals, presidential aspirant and Sen. Panfilo Lacson said.
Lacson made the statement as he addressed an estimated crowd of 1,000 Caviteños in General Trias Sports Park as he and his running mate Senate President Vicente Sotto III continued to promote the higher level of political discourse ahead of the 2022 national elections.
The Lacson-Sotto campaign trail has imposed a strict ‘no mudslinging’ policy as the presidential duo wanted to elevate the level of discourse and educate Filipino voters with respect to the deeper and more serious social issues at play ahead of the elections.
Lacson returned to his home province of Cavite last Friday to speak with local government officials and stakeholders from the public transport sector in General Trias City and the municipality of Tanza.
Lacson and Sotto were accompanied by Partido Reporma senatorial bets Dr. Minguita Padilla, retired police general Guillermo Eleazar and guest candidate Raffy Tulfo during the visit.
Lacson, standard bearer of Partido Reporma, has asked Filipino voters to respect the sanctity of their votes in the May elections if they do not want another six years of misery. – Paolo Romero
