NCR balik-'GCQ with heightened restrictions' kasama ng 4 na probinsya
MANILA, Philippines — Ilalagay sa mas mahigpit na uri ng general community quarantine (GCQ) ang Kamaynilaan at apat pang probisnya sa Pilipinas kasabay ng pagdami ng kaso ng Delta variant cases ng COVID-19 sa bansa.
Ito ang kinumpirma ni presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, Biyernes, sa ulat ng The STAR.
Kasama sa mga ilalagay sa GCQ "with heightened restrictions" mula ika-23 hanggang ika-31 ng Hulyo ang:
- Metro Manila
- Ilocos Norte
- Ilocos Sur
- Davao de Oro
- Davao del Norte
Ika-15 ng Hulyo lang nang ibaba ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa "regular na GCQ" ang National Capital Region matapos ang rekomendasyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID). Hanggang katapusan ito dapat ng buwan pero hindi na ito susundin.
Sa kabila niyan, matatandaang inilagay sa pinakamahigpit na lockdown o Enhanced Community Quarantine ang Cagayan de Oro, City of Gingoog, Iloilo City at Iloilo province.
"Health assessment are mandated to all arriving travellers after their isolation period," pagdidiin ni Roque sa isang pahayag. Kinakailangan din sumunod sa testing protocols na tinukoy ng IATF-EID ang mga darating na biyahero.
"To allow the conduct of safe economic activities, the IATF has urged establishments to identify more outdoor spaces for use as temporary outdoor weekend markets, dining spaces, permanently accessible urban green spaces and public sanitation facilities."
Dahil may GCQ with heightened restrictions na sa Metro Manila at apat na iba pang probinsya, ipagbabawal dito ang paglabas-labas ng mga batang 5-anyos pataas bilang pag-iingat sa COVID-19.

Inilabas ni Roque ang naturang pahayag isang araw matapos ianunsyo ng Department of Health (DOH) ang local transmission ng mas nakahahawang Delta variant ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas.
