MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go continues to provide additional support to economic frontliners whose lives and livelihoods were adversely affected by the pandemic.

He assured them various government programs are available to help them recover.

As chair of the Senate committee on health, Go also urged them not to waste the opportunity to get vaccinated since their sector is currently being prioritized as part of the A4 category of the National Vaccine Program.

Last Saturday, Go’s team provided additional support to 138 tricycle operators and drivers association members and 50 stranded seafarers whose needs are being catered to by the Department of Social Welfare and Development. His team handed out meals, masks, face shields, and vitamins to each beneficiary.

In addition, representatives from DSWD granted recipients with financial assistance.

Following the government’s necessary safety and health protocols, the relief operation was made in small batches to ensure the well-being of the recipients.

Albert Edo, one of the beneficiaries, remains optimistic that the government will successfully end the economic crisis caused by the global pandemic.

“Thank you, Sen. Bong Go for your assistance. This means a lot to our families,” he said.
