MANILA, Philippines — Budget carrier Cebu Pacific is resuming its commercial international services this month – initially between Manila and Dubai – after almost four months.

In a statement, Cebu Pacific said it would resume passenger flights to and from Dubai beginning July 12.

All other Cebu Pacific international flights, however, remain cancelled until July 31.

Cebu Pacific spokesperson Charo Logarta-Lagamon said travel restrictions in international destinations serviced by the carrier would keep demand weak and affect the viability of operating flights. Cebu Pacific is continuously assessing the situation for international services.

For its Manila-Dubai-Manila flights this month, Cebu Pacific said government quarantine and travel regulations would apply to all passengers.

“Passengers travelling to Dubai are required to obtain travel and health insurance coverage before arrival, as required by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. Guests without valid health insurance may be denied check-in or boarding,” the budget carrier said.

Cebu Pacific is also urging passengers of confirmed flights to follow flight guidelines, including the wearing of masks, online check-in, being at the airport three hours before the flight, counter closure of one hour before flight, one hand-carry bag per person, contactless boarding procedures and physical distancing.
