MANILA, Philippines — Hundreds of jobs in various government offices are expected to be up for grabs as the Civil Service Commission, in partnership with JobStreet.com, is set to hold a nationwide “2020 Government Online Career Fair” or GOCF from Sept. 14 to 18, amid the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 pandemic.

In an advisory posted on its website, the CSC directed all government agencies, local government units (LGUs), state universities and colleges (SUCs) and government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) to submit their job listings, including the “critical or hard to fill positions requiring immediate hiring” on or before Aug. 14.

“To give more time for the CSC to advertise and publish the list of vacant positions nationwide, the participating agencies shall submit on or before 14 August 2020 the list of their vacant positions to the Examination Recruitment & Placement Office (ERPO),” the CSC advisory read.

“The GOCF is an online event in which government agencies and jobseekers meet in a virtual environment to exchange information about job openings for a limited duration, or for one week,” the CSC said.

The CSC said the job listings might be submitted through email at [email protected] using the joblisting form in Excel format which may be downloaded from the CSC website.

The CSC said the participating government agencies, LGUs, SUCs and GOCCs must also submit its agency profile, logo, contact details and job listings with details to JobStreet.com.

As for the interested applicants, the CSC said they must create an account with Jobstreet.com, wherein they can upload their e-resume and personal data sheet which may be downloaded from CSC website http://www.csc.gov.ph/.

The commission said first-time jobseekers would also be entitled to free issuance or authentication of Certificate of Eligibility (COE), in accordance with CSC Resolution No. 2000363 dated Feb. 21, 2020. Paolo Romero
